Dwayne Smith

Dwayne Smith is PrismHR’s chief information security officer (CISO). A native of Kentucky, Dwayne possesses more than 20 years of experience supporting commercial, defense and intelligence organizations. His writing on cybersecurity has appeared in PEO Insider and other publications, and he is a sought-after expert on the subject.

Dwayne attended Berea College and the University of Maryland. Prior to completing his degree, Dwayne enlisted in the U.S. Navy and completed the Navy Nuclear Power Program. Dwayne transitioned to the communication and cybersecurity fields where he made multiple contributions to the operations of various U.S. Government cyber organizations and The Comprehensive National Cybersecurity Initiative. He has also supported cybersecurity programs for large organizations such as AT&T, Northrop Grumman and Cummins Inc. Additionally, Dwayne is an advisory board member of the Cyber Security Hall of Fame and provides guidance through collaboration with various boards.
